Rental Property Hunt Success October 30, 2008

Its been awhile since my wife and i had been looking for a place to move to and settle. It has been a frustrating process with each passing week turning up with nothing suitable.
Something Promising:
There was a promising property that turned up one week. The gentleman seemed to be a professional and his property was in a choice location. However that too was not to be as the weekend when i was supposed to have viewed the residence, along came Tropical Storm Gustav. That threw everything out and i have tried contacting him after with no success.
This Dump:
I then heard of a property in a community that sounded ideal at first. Upon my visit it came to light that in house hunting, not because a property sounds good, and also sounds like its a good area that doesn’t mean that the living condition is up to par. The apartment complex was run down. The complex itself was dirty with no signs of upkeep. The apartment was small but the size wasn’t the issue. The kitchen was run down and what really sent me back through the door was the fact that half of the bed room was under water. Fortunately for me i went to see it at a time when the rain had just finished pouring.
The Success:
After all the failures and some missed opportunities, i finally got a place. This one came into the picture when i overheard a conversation about the property. I got the number of the renter and in no time the deposit was paid and my wife and i had a new space to call home. This one being more affordable than all the other that i have seen, read and heard about. and its in excellent condition.
God is good.
House Hunting I (Cedar Grove) July 4, 2008

So yeah,my wife and I are currently on the hunt for a new place to reside. The hunt officially kicked off today with the viewing of a property in Cedar Grove Portmore. Quite a nice apartment, decent complex but the walk in from the main road was a killer. Don’t see myself making that walk in the nights or even on a daily basis.
Whats even worst is the policy of the complex, no gas stove. The pain with this is that we’re going to have to buy an electronic stove and then end up paying thousands in electricity bills, cause we cook alot. Its beeing considered but even though the pros are more than the cons, the cons still outweigh the pros.
Phil Jackson overated June 15, 2008

You know I was thinking about it and realized that Phil Jackson might not be as great a coach as they have him out to be. Sure enough he has a very good record and numerous championships but what has he accomplished without the most dominant players of their time.
Firstly, he has six championships with the Bulls. I would credit that to the talent of Michael Jordan. When Michael went into early retirement, the Bulls weren’t able to go anywhere in the playoffs.
Secondly, he has 3 with the Lakers. I credit that to the dominance of Shaq and the then backup power of Kobe. Since the Diesel left, the Lakers have missed the playoffs and crashed out of the first round. Its strange that the first time that Kobe won the MVP its the first time that the Lakers are returning to the finals.
If Jackson didn’t have MIchael and Shaq, he’d probably be without a championship ring.
