Henderson all grown up

So I went to do some technical support work today(Sorting out some internet issues). Kinda a new area for me to be doing support in but I took up the challenge non the less. I thought it would’ve been simple enough but as I’ve come to realize, life doesn’t always come the way one expects it.

I laboured for 2 hours total which included a call to customer care center. They were of little help, as I was told that the company didn’t have a static IP only for the Manager to call them back and heard that they did have a static IP. After that she gave me some information to enter and see how that works. Even after that I was frustrated by failure. With all logic saying that I should leave and regroup i decided to stay and see if there is something that i’d missed. There was something, and when I changed that setting and brought up the browser and the page loaded..that made my week.

In detail. The subnet mask needed to have been edited. Couldn’t believe but it had one 255 too much.
